My name is Christine Anuszkiewicz and I launched our Pet Wants San Francisco business together with my husband Eric Bergerson.
The heart of our Pet Wants SF business lies in our love for our beloved pets: Zac, our precocious Border Collie, Colby, our lovable Maine Coon cat and Denver, our sweet rescue Border Collie. Like you, our pets’ well-being is of utmost importance to us. With our combined entrepreneurial and leadership backgrounds, Eric and I decided to venture into our own business with Pet Wants San Francisco, driven by our strong desire to create a positive impact on the community. Our vision is to offer convenient access to the highest-quality fresh and nutritious pet food, while embracing a holistic approach to improve the lives and enhance the well-being of all our customers’ fur babies.

At Pet Wants San Francisco, we specialize in fresh dog and cat food, made with high-quality ingredients and slow cooked in small batches. An alternative to big-brand foods that often sit in warehouses or on store shelves for up to 18 months before reaching a pet’s home, Pet Wants San Francisco delivers food to pets’ bowls within weeks of cooking. We also offer a variety of premium natural chews and treats, pre/probiotics and wellness supplements, as well as house made “SPAW” balms and salves to pamper pets. In addition to our regular, local doorstep deliveries, Pet Wants San Francisco’s customers can count on expert guidance to ensure your pets are eating for health AND vitality. One of her beloved dogs suffered from painful skin allergies and, no matter what food they tried, her pet continued to suffer. Michele realized very quickly that national dog food brands were not fresh, they lacked complete nutrition and, most importantly, they were filled with dozens of non-nutritious ingredients and animal byproducts.
Michele decided to change that. She found a manufacturer and worked with them to formulate a custom pet food in small batches to be made fresh every month. Her animals loved the food — and so did the pets of all of her friends. Almost overnight, Pet Wants was born.
